Common Rules
1 - Every member or canditate must have a
valid non private ASN (Autonomous System Number) and use BGP4 for peerings. Candidate
must also have an internet related business, a legal company/organisation registration and an 24x7 operational contact.

- Peering relationships between members themselves aren't regulated
by FreeIX. Every member is responsible for arranging peering agreements with other
members.

- FreeIX doesn't offer hosting services on FreeIX POP so only cables
(twisted pair and fiber) will be allowed from members. Hosting of member muxes,
routers, switches, and all other equipement are the responsibilty of the member.

- Only peering traffic is allowed on FreeIX, in consequence selling
IP Transit, sending full or partial Internet Transit routes or default route over FreeIX is forbidden,
only "non charged" peering traffic is allowed.So fake "Nexthop rewrite" and other tricky static route isn't allowed at all.
Members shall also ensure
that their usage of FreeIX is not detrimental to other Members and must respect
all the technical requirements defined in the this document.

- IPv4 address space assigned to FreeIX members shall not be advertised
to other networks. Members shalln't use other IP Subnet over FreeIX Vlan and
shalln't connect other devices than necessary BGP router.

- FreeIX Members connected Interfaces must only use IP addresses and
netmasks (prefix lengths) assigned to them by FreeIX. Router/switch feature like
ProxyARP, Spanning-tree, IGMP, VTP, GVRP , OSPF, ISIS, RIP, IGRP/EIGRP, CDP, IPX, VRRP, HSRP, DHCP aren't allowed and should be disabled.

- FreeIX members shall not announce prefixes longer than /24(ipv4).

- By default FreeIX assign one 100BaseTX port to members.
1000BaseSX/LX port are only available for members using at least 70 MBit/s (average) of their
current Fast Ethernet connection. Members can only have one connection to FreeIX,
including different FreeIX POPs. Every member is physicaly connected to FreeIX
switch via a dedicated cable. Cable sharing isn't allowed for multiple members and only one MAC address is autorised per member port.

- FreeIX can suspend or discontinue the Connection, in whole or in
part :
If the Member isn't respecting or agreeing to any of the above FreeIX rules.
In case of force majeur.
If the FreeIX receives an
autoritative request or desire to comply with a statutory obligation.
If a maintenance is required.

- FreeIX cannot be responsible for direct or indirect consequential
loss, loss of profits, business, revenue, goodwill, or anticipated savings resulting
from a FreeIX service outage
