FreeIX is running on Extreme
Networks Blackdiamond 6808 switches and on Cisco Catalyst 6509 offering
non-blocking bandwith to members.
All FreeIX POPs switches are linked by a least 2 Gigabit Ethernet connections using a
Free Telecom Dark Fiber ring.
FreeIX members are on the same VLAN over different POPs offering members capability to peer with
all the others.
