Founded in 2000 by Free.fr part of Iliad group,
The Free Internet Exchange is the world first Internet Exchange without any monthly
or yearly charges.
FreeIX provide a free and reliable high speed Fast/GigaBit Ethernet interconnection
between Internet Service Providers located in Telehouse
Paris1, Telehouse
Paris2 France, InterXion
Paris2,
Ldcom Netcenter Courbevoie
1, Redbus Courbevoie and now in Telecity Paris (more POPs infos here)
Please note that FreeIX doesn't provide physical colocation services to ISP since
all FreeIX sites are already located or planned in well know telco hotels.
Every Internet Service Providers and Internet actors are welcome to join the FreeIX with the only
condition that they agree with and respect our "Usage
Policy".
Even if FreeIX services are free, we are providing to ISP a fully high quality
supported service, an email and phone NOC based , various mailling lists and
tools.
